Gandy Ink's Response to COVID-19

  • BECAUSE WE CARE...

    At Gandy Ink, we're committed to providing a safe experience for our employees, for our customers, and for our communities. We’re taking the situation very seriously, and we are doing everything that we can to minimize the risks to our team and yours. We will continue to monitor and follow federal and state safety guidelines.

  • WHAT WE ARE DOING TO PROTECT OUR TEAM

    We’ve transitioned to a work from home policy for all positions that can be performed effectively from home. Additionally, we’ve encouraged team members to or follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC for their own health and safety.

    Our production facilities remain open, so the business can continue to operate, but we’ve taken a range of additional precautions to help ensure the safety of all team members working in those locations. First and foremost, employee who believe they are at risk themselves or have at-risk family members at home have been asked to remain at home. Additionally, all employees who aren’t feeling well are being asked to be safe and stay home until they are healthy.

    For those who are reporting to work at Gandy Ink, we’ve implemented additional safety and social distancing measures to reduce their risk:

    • We have encouraged vaccination and we are proud to say our employee's vaccination rate is higher than our state average.
    • We all wear masks to protect others and the garments we are working on.
    • Screen printed items are heated to high temperatures after being decorated.
    • We’ve provided disinfectant cleaning supplies to all team members for use on their own workspaces.
    • We have shifted in-person meetings to virtual options.
    • We’re postponing all non-essential visitors to our sites.
    • We’re concentrating our cleaning efforts on high-touch areas like tools and doors.
    • We have added motion sensing light switches to reduce touches of common switches.

  • WHAT WE ARE DOING TO PROTECT OUR CUSTOMERS

    Everything that we’re doing to protect our teams also benefits our customers. At our decoration facilities team members are following the CDC’s recommendations about handwashing, social distancing, and other hygiene policies.

    To ensure public health and safety, we have instituted safety and cleaning procedures in our showroom, we offer virtual appointments, and employees are also available to assist customers by email, phone, and chat. We offer hand sanitizer in the showroom and throughout the facility to make sure that people are able to clean their hands regularly. We have also added dividers where distance isn’t possible in addition to the above measures.

  • PLEASE ORDER EARLY

    Please note that due to supply chain issues caused by the pandemic, many of our vendors are experiencing nationwide inventory shortages. Please plan ahead and order as early as you can. Your patience and flexibility is greatly appreciated! Also, if you have a special event date, please let us know.

    We do understand how important on time orders are to you, we will do everything in our power to meet your event dates. During these challenging and evolving times, some orders may experience delays that are beyond our control. If we anticipate that there will be a delay in delivery, we will reach out to you proactively.

  • BACKORDERS AND DELAYS

    COVID has caused manufacturing and shipping disruptions, and as the broader global economy has recovered, and specifically here in the US, we’ve seen increasing challenges with inventory. As manufacturing hits stride, suppliers are struggling to keep up with economic recovery and the corresponding unexpected demand.

    What does this mean for your order and the availability of the products you’re interested in?

    You may start art, turn in an order, or create a Gandy Online store…with garments that are available. However, due to the volatility of inventory, there’s a possibility that the availability may change quickly thereafter, meaning you may need to work with a Gandy Ink representative to determine an appropriate alternative to your original product. It may be a specific size that becomes unavailable, a specific color, or style. Though we do our best to keep inventory in the most popular colors and update the website daily to address backorders, this is changing quickly.

    If there is an issue, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you options to adjust sizes, color, garment, or accept the delayed turn around.
