Fundraising That Works for You
While many groups fundraise with Pink Out apparel, we know every program is different.
Instead of revisiting general fundraising tips (we’ve got a full guide for that), here are 3 unique ideas to try this year:
1. "Pink Out Pep Rally" with Donation Challenges
Host a special Pink Out-themed pep rally where attendees can participate in donation-based challenges, such as:
- Pie the Principal/Coach in the Face for $5 per vote. Volunteers with the most votes gets “smashed” with the pie.
- "Change Wars" between grade levels, where students drop spare change in jars (or digital donations) to compete for a reward like extra recess, early lunch release, or dress-down day.
- Include guest speakers such as breast cancer survivors or local healthcare advocates to inspire giving.
2. "Pink the Parking Lot" Tailgate Event
Before a home game or during lunchtime, host a tailgate-style event in the school parking lot with:
- Food trucks or concessions with a portion of sales donated.
- Local business booths with giveaways or raffles.
- A car decorating contest where students pay an entry fee to deck out their cars in pink, with a prize for best vehicle. Judged by staff or community leaders.
3. "Pink Out Game Night" or Movie Night
Host an after-school game night or movie screening where students pay admission (e.g., $5) with all proceeds going to the Pink Out cause. Extras:
- Sell pink-themed snacks (cotton candy, pink lemonade, cupcakes).
- Host a raffle or silent auction with donated items from local businesses.
- Add a "Glow in the Dark" Pink theme with glow sticks and lights for added appeal.
